Package Description

Let Nature Quest make your Dickens experience even better! Stay Friday and Saturday night at the historic Coach Stop Inn.  As you roam the streets, be sure to take a ride on the covered wagons - on us! Later, our staff (dressed in 1800's style costumes) will serve you a delicious dinner including some "Dickens era" fare.  We'll be offering drink specials on beer and wine, and don't miss our card games after dinner!  We'll be featuring cribbage and euchre, both of which were popular during the time "A Christmas Carol" was written.  We'll be happy to teach beginners and we'll have prizes for the winners.  After a good nights sleep at the Inn, stop by for breakfast in the dining room.  We have lots of fun outdoor activities available for you on Sunday, see below!

Dickens Package 2009 includes:

  • Two nights accommodations based on double occupancy
  • Free wagon ride through the streets of Wellsboro
  • Dinner for two Saturday night
  • Full breakfast both Saturday and Sunday

Price: $313 per couple, $260 for single occupancy

Additional Sunday activities for our package guests:

One hour horseback ride, $50 per person.  We'll meet at the Coach Stop and after a pre-ride lecture in safety and horsemanship, we'll hit the trail!  We have great horses and excellent guides, we can accommodate beginners from ages 8 and up.  Plan to be in the saddle for about an hour, with our pre-ride talk and other safety procedures, the total experience is about two hours long.

Winter Waterfall Walk, $45 per person.  We'll do all the driving and guiding, just bring your coat, boots and sense of adventure.  Winter waterfalls can offer amazing photo opportunities so bring your camera.  Plan to be walking for about 45 minutes to an hour, with about an hour round trip by vehicle.

One hour nature hike, $10 per person.  This hour long hike will depart right from the Coach Stop Inn.  Your guide will lead the way through the fields and woods to look for tracks in the snow (If possible) and other winter sights. This is an overlooked time to view wildlife since the leaves are off the trees, making it easier to see.
