We are seeking friendly, focused, and dedicated team members for the following positions:
Outdoor Recreation Specialists
Must be friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and physically capable of withstanding long periods of outdoor recreation activity. Responsible for the safety of our participants. First Aid and CPR certification are required. Training is provided. Outdoor recreation skills and knowledge are a must and will determine your focus of activity, but handling a range of interpretation and activity is expected . Must be able to present oneself in a professional, wholesome manner.
There are three categories of Outdoor Recreation Specialists:
Interpretive Guides - Work seasonal, part time and full time educating and entertaining our participants with local lore, wildlife and plant identification and natural history. While leading our guests on hikes, bike trips, canoe, kayak, rafting expeditions, wildlife safaris in the PA Wilds our interpretive guides assist our guests in making their personal connection with the natural world.
Horse Trail Guides - Wrangling, preparing for horseback trail rides, packing and setting up camps, guiding trail rides, ranch/farm work, training and finishing horses. Must be a proficient rider, mature, capable of handling situations that may arise on the trail and have a good working knowledge of horses and tack. Heavy lifting is required for this position.
Wagon Drivers - Experienced teamster capable of driving a two-horse hitch. Duties include but are not limited to: Harnessing teams, hoof care, wagon maintainence, etc. Heavy lifting is required. Must be experienced and well skilled at driving a team of horses, harnessing, and horse care. This person will need to deal with the public, care for the grounds, building, horses and equipment. This is a full time, seasonal position possibly becoming a year round position with benefits.
Nature Quest Business Office
Bookkeeper – Duties include payroll and payroll taxes, accounts payable and receivable, bank deposits, manage credit card accounts, manage retail cash registers. This is a full time position. Experience with Quickbooks is necessary . Must be able to work without direct supervision.
Administrative Staff - Duties include but not limited to answering phones, booking trips, scheduling, database upkeep, letter writing and other general office procedures. Must have excellent communication skills, outgoing and friendly personality, and be able to prioritize and multi-task. Appreciation and knowledge of outdoor recreation and the environment is a must.
Hospitality Staff
Hotel/Restaurant Manager - Must be able to manage all facets of a full service establishment. Will be responsible staff hiring and management, marketing, food cost, etc. Degree plus experience preferred.
Wait Staff, Prep Cooks, Cleaning Staff, Hotesses - full and part time positions available. Experience preferred, but not necessary.
Chef and assistants for full size restaurant and banquet facility needed. Must also be able to handle catering to multiple outdoor recreation locations each day - full and part time positions available.
